in 2005, LJ traned in private practice as a top Spanish-Speaking International Litigation Attorney in Washington, D.C. until 2007, when she was recruited to practice International Finance in London, england. From 2007-2014, She was called to practice law as a Solicitor in the United Kingdom and was named out of 2,500 Top Leaders in the entire United Kingdom as a 2012 Community Star in London, England.
For her outstanding achievements in Finance, she was appointed Vice President & Legal Counsel for The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), representing to HMRT and the FSA as a member of international finance regulatory boards since 2009 - having previously served as retail structured products Legal Counsel & Vice President for JPMorgan Chase and (Bank of Tokyo) Mitsubishi.
In 2014, LJ jumped at the extraordinary chance to sojourn back to her hometown of San Antonio, Texas with her very happy English Husband and even happier, English Son. Previous to earning her legal qualifications in Texas (2005), Washington, D.C. (2006) and The United Kingdom (2007) Oxford University, LJ earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence (2005) from The University of Houston Law Center, after completion of a full scholarship to study International Law (Derecho internacional) LLM in mexico "El Tec" (EGADE) Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (2002). In Houston, she sat the Texas bar and served as Assistant Editor of the Texas Consumer Law Journal (2005). Summers included Legal intern to the Hon. Justice Tim Taft of the Court of Appeals, First District of Texas(2003) & Legal Intern to the Bexar County Office of the District Attorney (2005). in 2001, LJ graduated with Honors, Dean's List & Summa Cum Laude on full academic (national merit & Hispanic) scholarship from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Fashion Design. LJ was born & Raised in San Antonio, attending Kriterion Montessori, Cambridge Elementary & Alamo Heights High School.
